Here we are now...

A couple of months ago, Chris and I were having a few beers with our buddy, Colin, in the beer garden or D.B.A. We were talking about the fact that bands usually have a few insider friends who share in the whole "rock band" experience -from seeing the group come together, develop the songs and direction, play those early shows to 5 people, see the Spinal-Tap-like disasters, to the big recordings, videos, shows and debaucherous after-parties that make it all worth it. Then it occurred to us that it might be cool to share more of those experiences with a wider audience.

Rather than do the regular "local band" thing by posting a few gig pictures and demo songs on this site and promoting them as if we were the next Led Zeppelin, we are going to do the opposite. We will post EVERYTHING. We'll tell you about the goods shows, bad shows, Pay-to-Play bullshit, crack-head promoters, and after-parties. We'll take you through the whole song process from sketching melodies and lyrics to recording at legendary NYC recording studios.

We'll even accept comments from you, John-Q-Public, and either respond to them in-kind or tell you to fuck off.

The idea is that our friends and fans will enjoy the regular updates. And if you're that kid from Arkansas playing guitar in his (or her) bedroom, thinking about what it will be like to move to New York City and try to have a "go-at-it" in the rock scene, then reading this will give the skinny on what to expect.

In short, its the blog version of Behind the Music. So, expect several updates a week from each of us in the band, and stay tuned it!
