Costume Choices

The Fifth Member here to inform all the Maslow fans that I had an interesting experience with the band tonight.

First, a little background. I introduced my lady friend - she's not my special lady, she's my lady friend - to Scoop and the rest of the guys a few shows ago. Her first name is Lisa, her last name will remain unknown to protect the innocent. Anyway... I introduced her to the band and she promised to do the costumes for tomorrow night's show.

So what does that mean?

That means that tonight, I had Scoop and Lisa over at my place to check out the costumes.

Do you have any idea what that means?

Unless you have a mix between Mick Jagger and your favorite older sister over at your place, then, no, you don't.

Scoop was like Mick, checking out the variety of outfits that Lisa had presented. He kept going into my bathroom, changing, over and over again, into new outfits for her approval. Meanwhile, I was at my laptop, trying to the best of my ability to ignore the freak'n fucking chaos going on to compose my latest story. It was a madhouse but amazing to see from the inside.

Of course, I thought the best moment was when Scoop and Lisa convinced me that I needed to call Howzr and ask whether he wanted to wear a shirt that met with the "glam" theme that night or go shirtless. Yeah... How do you ask a guy you see as your brother something like that?

So I called him and he sounded like a man hit by a truck. Because I was stupid enough to put him on speaker phone. But let's put it this way, glam isn't his scene and Howzr, for some reason, doesn't seem comfortable going shirtless....

But I'll tell you this:

He could pull off either.

So the suspense in this story? What is Howzr going to do for his show tomorrow? What will the entire band do? I can tell you this, if they go with what was planned in my apartment, Scoop's going to look like David Fucking Bowie, Chris will wear the most outrageous thing that will still allow him to beat the shit out of the drums, Dan might pull out his old friend the boa, and Howzr... well... Howzr... Let us see friends.

So... if you want to know the answer, go to Midway on Ave B to find out.

Jacket with unbuttoned shirt... Scarf. And, yes, Scoop\'s outfit was crazy. Like David Bowie Beyond Thunderdome. A big shout-out and thanks to Lisa for helping us with costumes for this one.
