I would like to thank baby Jesus, the academy and Mom for all those piano lessons!

Last night, we played the Knitting Factory to a capacity crowd largely dominated by a brood of rabid Maslow fans! The event was the MEANY Fest Finals and our people made sure we got our due. At the end of the night, a panel of industry judges cast their ballots and voted Maslow as the 2007 runner-up in the festival. Hats off to Sonny Marvello from Glasgow to took the top prize; they're a great band and cool guys.

With our rowdy-ass fans chanting us to near victory, I put down my glass of JD to hastily compose the victory speech that will never be heard:

I'd like thank little 6 lbs, 5 oz baby Jesus, Jack Daniels, and my Mother for all those piano lessons...piano lessons that kept me in-doors for hours while the cool kids played outside and while Mike C down the block got the GI Joe Aircraft Carrier for Christmas and everyone to his house to check it out and drink Hi-C. But someday, I knew those sacrifices would pay off in the form of a MEANY Fest 2nd place prize.
Jokes aside, the show was a blast! Here's a big shout-out to our fans and friends who came out to support us. Their energy gave us energy and that made the night! It was a great way to cap off the new year.

Check the photos section for some photos from last night.

P.S. And I love that some kids came down with home-made Maslow shirts. haha A hint that we need to get some shwag made up...
