New Songs...

Lots of new material being worked on from the Maslow camp. Personally, I feel like I'm hitting a stride: its one of those prolific periods where ideas pour out of you like the whiskey gets poured down my gullet. A connection? Its probably bad luck to write all this since it will probably result in serious writer's block bad karma.

This time around, we're keeping the riffing but really focusing on melody, harmony and lyrics. Its been fun finding those infectious hooks, yet still keeping it all potent and raw. Don't know if anyone even listens to the words, but we all have some axes to grind and I think that comes across.. One song reminds me of a classic AC/DC or Kiss riff mixed with AIC grit...Dan hears Toadies, but who knows... The other is more punk/pop -as I have a huge soft one for 60s-era surf and British invasion grooves. Other ideas have been very bluesy/southern rock. Anyway...talk is cheap, so I'll try to post some sound clips from practice and you can hear it all for yourself.
